....IT'S A DANGEROUS LOVE AFFAIR
After dinner there was a spot of free time before campfires and lights out. Viggo normally used this time to write in his journal, but nothing extraordinary happened of late so he felt silly writing the same things over again. "Woke up. Did Nothing. Woke up. Did Nothing." or sometimes it would be "Woke up. Saw a frog. Did Nothing." He would never admit it aloud but he was actually rather glad that the new campers had arrived. He was becoming quite antsy and restless. Walking out of the mess he headed towards the beach, arms swinging by his side.
As he neared the water, he bent down to slip off his sneakers and bundled his socks into the toe. He rolled up his pants so as not to get sand in them. Viggo loved being near the water, but sand was something he just could not abide. It had a nasty habit of popping up days later in places you least expect or were even warranted. He raced across the hot sand, trying not to burn his tender feet, plunging them into the cool lake. He gave a sigh of relief and let the water wash over his feet. Reaching into his pocket he pulled out a pack of cigarettes. Sticking one in his mouth, he fished for his lighter in his pocket. He took a quick glance behind him to make sure it was clear and lit. Taking an inhale, he blew out the smoke, utterly and entirely content.

After dinner Pax went and did her own thing. Luna now know she was a daughter of Poseidon went down to the beach. It was true she really did love the ocean. Whenever ever Luna was around water it calmed her down, it had kept her going year after year of torment between home and school. There were days where she had to skip school just to drive to the ocean and just sit there all day. And today was full of action and a bit of calmness would do her good.
As Luna got to the beach she took of her shoes and socks. Though she was surprised to see that someone was already there. A boy with shaggy hair smoking a cigarette.
"Are you supposed to be smoking those?" Luna asked

Azri quite literally sounded like a herd of wild boar whenever she walked anywhere. Crunchy leaf? Stepped on it. Low hanging branch? Walked into it. Slightly protruding root? Tripped. So when she finally made it to flat sand of the beach she sighed in relief. After Viggo had vanished the fact that he smoked crossed Azri's mind, and he'd headed towards the beach, nice place to get rid of something burning. Azri took off her shoes and socks and rolled her pants up to her knees before crossing the sand to behind Viggo.
"Just make sure you don't leave them here or I'll have you on little camper arts and crafts for the rest of the summer," Azri didn't care that he smoked. In truth, most of the campers could probably smoke some much more toxic things without it affecting any of their time-lines. She shaded her eyes against the setting sun. When the sun dipped just at the edge of the horizon was the time of day she loved the most, where day and night blended into one and time seemed to slow down on its own.

Azri raised an eyebrow at Viggo. "I could always confiscate them entirely," she said, warning creeping into her voice, "all I want is no cigarette butts on the shore. Can you manage that?" She crossed her arms sternly over her chest. At times like these it wasn't intimidating enough to be short, so she let the tiny magical shield around her clockwork golden eye disintegrate. So now she stared with her very mundane human eye and her clockwork eye which whirred with constant motion. |

Viggo threw his hands up in defeat."I swear. I won't leave a single butt behind. Scout's honor.",he said giving her a boyish smile. Viggo knew Azri's limits and would never want to cross them without a good enough reason, but it was still fun to rile her up. He splashed a bit of water her way. "You done now, Ma? Can we have some fun, or am I going to have to drag you in here?" He slowly began walked towards her waggling his fingers and cigarette sticking out the side of his mouth.

"sure I'll take one" Luna said taking one out of the pack he handed her, he gave her his lighter and lighted the cigarette "thanks" she had only smoked a couple of times in her life but she knew how to not look like a complete idiot while smoking one
Luna sat in the sand with her feet in the water
"what's your name?" Luna asked.

She laughed.
"I'm not that much of a stick in the mud, Viggo," she kicked water back in his direction. "I grew up here, I had my wild days," she winked. Though she hated to admit it, having her responsibility had made her a little bit of a stick in the mud. In fact, Azri couldn't remember the last time she'd splashed around the beach. The past few months had been spent tracking down new campers in front of a computer with her large glasses on her face (considering her clockwork eye only saw very general shapes outlined in gold). At least in the past few months she had tripped, or fallen, or broken something. In fact she fully expected that this evening would probably end in her being entirely soaked, but she was okay with that for some reason. She raised an eyebrow at Luna who had accepted the cigarette. Azri had smoked packs at a time when she was under serious stress, so she didn't mind at all.

He gave Luna a nod. "No worries. I am Viggo.", he stuck his hand out to shake hers. "Your first year here?", he asked. Viggo turned and laughed at Azri. "You could have fooled me", he said giving her another splash. "Wild days? No way! I don't believe you. Prove it!" He splashed her again, "What are you gonna do about it, huh? Show me you can still have fun. Can you even get water in that eyeball? Would you just shut down?", he said giving her a big grin.

"Ya, I'm new here. But thanks for the cigarette again, Viggo" Luna said smiling while out her cigarette in the sand beside her shoes "I'll throw it away later I promise, but right now I wanna go for a swim" Luna took of her shirt and jeans tho she was kinda embarrassed that Viggo saw her in her underwear she just imagined it was her bikini, I mean at least they matched and re ran into the water. It was a perfect temperature cool and refreshing.

Azri scrunched her eyebrows together as Luna ran into the water with her underwear on. "Well darn, that was my wild side..." she said frowning but she shrugged and wiggled her eyebrows in goofy fake seduction at Viggo. "Wild Azri, huh?" She undid her button-down and tossed her leggings high up on the beach, "Good enough?" There stood Azri, proud as a puppy with a new toy, hands on her hips and underwear out on display. "I only ever wear matching bra and panties," she said and walked straight past Viggo to the end of the dock where she bowed, un-clipped her bra and then, froze time for just long enough to place her underwear on the post. When time went normal again, she gave Viggo a quick goofy-faced wink and cannon-balled naked into the lake. "Just like old times!" She yelled from the neck deep water. When she'd been 16....Lord, most of Azri's nights had been spent skinny dipping. |

Viggo's eyebrows started to rise. It wasn't everyday a girl he just met took her clothes off. He didn't even think he knew her name. Who was she? Viggo made a mental note to keep his eye out for her. She was curious which definitely peeked his interest. His cheeks started to redden once he saw Azri throw off her top. He started laughing and playfully hid behind his hand, still peeking through his fingers at the girls. "Well I guess we really are going to have some fun" Not to be outdone by the girls, he shrugged off his shirt and pulled off his jeans as quickly as he could, tripping on one of the pants legs in the process. As soon as he was got free he ran off the dock and cannonballed into the water with a yell. Yes, this was exactly what his summer needed!

Luna laughed and swam over to them "Wanna have a 'who can stay underwater longest' contest?" Winking at Viggo.
She wasn't planning on telling him she was a daughter of Poseidon til afterwards. She giggled a bit somehow she felt free when she was around him. Normally she would never flirt or dream of taking her cloths off. But somehow she felt free.

Red eyes were staring down the trail to the beach, turned up roots and fallen trees seemed to have made it a challenge for someone, the struggle could be seen on the ground as Victor began to make his way down to the shore line. A pair of beige work boots and some light wash jeans were all that was on his body. It was too damn hot to be wearing a shirt and he was after all the Combat Instructor, He could do whatever the hell he wanted. The tattoo on his upper arm seemed to glisten against the sun as he came into the clearing. The young man's heart jumped as he saw three people swimming in the lake although only one had his attention. Azri had been gone for awhile in search of the new demigods and he had been left here to continue his work with the others. A sly grin played on his face as he slowly strolled out onto the beach. Victors lightly tanned skin seemed to embrace the warmth of the sun as he then lit himself a cigarette. These things were what kept him sane in this crazy world. Sitting in the sand a few moments as he watched the three joke an enjoy the time out of classes. Once finished the smoke he put two fingers in his mouth to let a shrill, high pitched whistle echo out across the waters clear surface. Crossing his arms, Vic couldn't help the smile of excitement playing on his face as he waited for his old friend to turn her attention toward him.

Azri's eyes perked up towards the shore and a smile tore across her face. Before she swam in, she turned to Luna, "Breath holding contest? Real funny...." she gave a polite nod to Viggo and awkwardly splashed her way to shore, tripping more than once on submerged items. She'd disappear for a second, then come back to the surface, still smiling. With a grand total of three submerged stumbles and almost wiping out when she got to the sand, Azri was quite proud of herself for not absolutely face-planting.
"Victor!" She yelled in excitement and threw her arms around him in a soaking wet....and naked hug. Azri froze, her mouth hanging open. She was a fan of sayings like 'no time like the present' and 'time flies when you're having fun' which generally was her excuse for doing whatever she wanted, including taking her clothes off.
"My bad..." she said, blushing and smiling and laughing all at once and went to retrieve her clothes from a little bit up the beach.

He gave Luna a scoff. He had been swimming since before he could walk and even though his lungs were shot to shit, he still could take her on. He nodded back to Azri and gave a mock salute to Victor sitting on the beach. He turned back to Luna with a grin. "Are you sure you still want to do this?" You can turn back. I promise I won't hold it against you", he said giving her a smug look. "Well if you are really sure you can beat me then let's make this more interesting. How about a bet? Unless you're too scared." he said with a smirk.

A huge smile played on Victors face as he watched Azri stumble to shore. Vic let his hand wave in the air as he yelled out to her Now theres a face Ive been just dieing to see! and she then threw her arms around him in a tight yet .. wet an naked embrace. Victor couldnt help but hug her back, his firm arms wrapped around her waist, although he seriously thought about making a joke but thought differently when she started to turn three shades of red on him. With a grin he watched her leave to pick up the scattered clothing she had tossed away. Catching the mocked salute, Victor gave a fake smile an flipped Viggo the finger, although the instructor was only doing it in a teasing sort of way. Letting his feet carry him swiftly across the sand, Victor came to walk with Azri. It feels like forever since Ive seen you Pauaing for a moment Vic put a hand on the back of his neck Anything exciting happen?

Viggo laughed at Victor. He held up his fist and gradually cranked open his middle finger as if it was a jack-in-the-box with a grin. He knew Victor was playing and that's what he liked best about the counselor. Kicking onto his back so that he was floating, he turned to look at her. "Well what would you want if you won?"He gave her a knowing look and his smile grew at the edges. His tongue flicked out to dampen his chapped lips and felt the familiar pounding of his heart. If Viggo loved one thing, it was beautiful women. He had such a weakness for them. They were such welcomed distractions in his mundane existence. He lifted his hand out of the water and touched a strand of Luna's colored hair, feeling it between his fingers. "Cute.", he said with a smile looking into her eyes.

Azri snorted.
"Yeah, Nuke and I ended up against a Chimera, I've never seen one out of books. And coming after non active campers, it was nuts," she adjusted her shirt, mis-buttoned like always. She had stuffed her bra and panties down the back of her leggings her deep purple button down flowed over them and covered the bump. Her soft soled shoes sagged a little at her calves, she hadn't bothered with the top buckle. She shook her head and wrung her hair out.
"What about you? Anything go on here?" She spoke through the hairband in her mouth as she tied up her hair in a messy bun. Finally, fully dressed and situated, Azri smiled.
"Walk with me? I think we have campfire soon," she said, "and I always expect you there Mr. Fire Tummy," Azri talked to Vic's tummy in the type of silly voice people used on their pets. She smiled and winked and started the walk back to the main grounds.
